- ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆We spent 3 nights here. A lovely newly refurbished old character pub, 10 minutes walk from Shrewsbury town center along the banks of the River Severn. The rooms were lovely and clean for only £60 per night an absolute bargain, not serving breakfast at the moment, but plenty of choice of eateries in the town. The landlord was very friendly and attentive ensuring we had all we needed, free tea & coffee in the rooms plus complimentary shower gel etc. Parking was private at the rear of the pub. The bars were very clean and served a good selection of real ales and ciders. The locals were also very friendly, a real gem.By Admin, April 22, 2019
